When do we use this tense?

• We use it when talking about actions that are happening right now or around the current time.
  
  Examples:
  She is reading a book now.
  They are speaking at the moment.
  
• To talk about future arrangements, often with a specific time mentioned.
  
  Examples:
  I am meeting my friend tomorrow. (I agreed with my friend, it’s a 100% plan)
  I am flying to New York next week. (I have tickets, it’s my 100% plan)
  
  
• To talk about anoying habits, things that irritate you or make you angry.
  
  Examples:
  He is always leaving his shoes in the hallway.
  They are always coming late.
  She is never telling the truth.
  
  
• To talk about actions or situations that are currently developing or changing over time.
  

  Examples:
  The weather is getting colder.
  Your English is getting better.
  We are getting stronger and stronger.
